Human Resources Business Partner

We are currently looking for an experienced Human Resources Business Partner for our large, reputable, government healthcare agency client located in Brampton. This is an excellent hands-on opportunity for a seasoned HR professional. Please apply if you’re looking for a challenge!

Job Duties:

  • Manage complex employee relations issues within a unionized environment;
  • Oversee disability leave management and wellness;
  • Provide advice and guidance for performance and attendance management;
  • Assist with ad hoc recruitments in developing the selection criteria and sitting on interview panels;
  • Provide interpretations on the collective agreement and procedures;
  • Conduct investigations in the employee complaints process;
  • Partner on Health & Safety initiatives using knowledge of industry best practices;
  • Advise and support on compensation policies and systems for both unionized and non-unionized employees

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in HR, business administration, labour relations or relevant field;
  • 5-7 years of experience in an HR management role and exposure to a unionized environment with an understanding of labour relations;
  • Strong ability to settle complaints and disputes while ensuring productive working relationships;
  • Exceptional leadership skills to motivate and manage staff in a complex environment;
  • CHRP or CHRM considered an asset
