HR Associates is a leader in public sector interim staffing and human resources consulting. Our Interim Staffing Division provides senior level and specialized interim professionals with clients like the Ontario Government, Federal Government, LCBO, Metrolinx, Public Health Ontario, Ontario Lottery and Gaming, College of Nurses of Ontario and many other reputable public sector and not for profit organizations.

We have exciting interim opportunities in the Ontario Public Sector and are looking to recruit experienced Writers to join our roster of specialists. These interim positions can range in length from three to six months and we work on roles such as Writers, Speech Writers, Copywriters, Technical Writers, and Editors. There are excellent opportunities for candidates who like a creative challenge and are looking to work in the Public and Broader Public Sector.


  • A University degree in journalism, communications, English, or in a related field;
  • Proven writing and editing experience;
  • Strong oral, written, consultative and presentation skills to liaise with stakeholders and target audience;
  • Previous experience working in the government or not-for-profit;
  • Advanced time management and strategic thinking skills to meet crucial deadlines;
  • Proficient technical skills an asset (web design, MS Office, WordPress, etc.)
